Our Ultimo branch has been servicing the area with the best optical care for many years. These years have built us a warm and friendly customer base, mostly consisting of people who either study or work in the area. Due to our close proximity to UTS in Ultimo (we are literally next door Building 2) we make sure that UTS members, either staff or students, receive this great service.

What do we offer UTS students and staff? Come to Prevue Eyewear Ultimo for your optical care and you will receive a 20% discount on the optical products you purchase.

We bulk bill eye examinations, meaning Medicare will cover your optometrist consultation expense (sometimes they don’t, but it is rare and we can check this for you). Therefore, considerable savings are to be had on your prescription eyewear, sunglasses and contact lenses!

Why do you need to take care of your eyes? As a student or teacher, impairment of your vision could be highly detrimental to your learning or teaching capabilities. Sitting in a lecture theatre, the projection screen may be blurred, hindering your ability to follow the presentation. Alternatively, as a teacher, marking papers may be tedious and tiresome for your eyes, as the lines skewed and font are a lighter shade of black or blue.

This is why we highly recommend that you make the most of our bulk billing optometry examinations and come into see one of our optometrists in the Ultimo branch. The optometrist will conduct a full eye consultation and will be able to recommend whether you require correction through a prescription for glasses or contact lenses.
